I came to know and love Jesus Christ as my personal saviour when I was 10 years old but in my early years did not fully understand how personal this relationship with Him could be and how He could change my life. Growing up largely in Adelaide, my family moved for a short time to Nullarbor Plains before returning to Adelaide. In my teens I tried to live my life without Him but soon found that I needed Him so much and that He alone has all the answers, strength and life that I need. At 21years of age, having travelled to Darwin and settled for a time, I wholeheartedly returned to Him.
My vocational experiences have included working in supermarkets, snack bars, cafes, nurse assistant in aged care and disability, clerical work, childcare, market gardening and direct sales. Then returning to study over 20 years ago, I Completed my year 12 as a mature age student, then studied for Bachelor of Arts (French/English) and Bachelor of Education degrees at Flinders University, with the Lord’s help successfully graduating in 2005. That same year, I began and continued to teach part-time at Murraylands (now Tyndale) Christian College at Strathalbyn.
Experiences have varied and I have met many people who have helped and encouraged me. I have discovered that nothing is ever wasted with God. My mistakes, weaknesses He has turned for good and shown His grace in it all. Miraculous healings, provision, challenges overcome and much more, has been the ongoing story of God’s grace and amazing work in my life.
Two of the most wonderful experiences and both answers to prayer after a number of years were meeting and marrying my husband and friend Rick and then 11 years later having our son Jonathan. Living at Callington, my life and ministry is very much with them, working together and discovering God’s greater love and grace as time goes on. Married for 29 years, we have discovered much about marriage and family along the way and discovered that God is always faithful. I love God and delight in worship, the power of prayer, family, people of all ages, music and playing guitar, being creative, gardening and sharing gifts with others.
