Faith: Looking Up and Beyond

Hebrew 11:1 “Now faith is the assurance of things hope for, the conviction of things not seen.”

Faith is looking up past the ’what we see’ to the ’what we don’t see’. It is breaking down those barriers which Satan creates in our minds which tell us ’It won’t or can’t happen, you can’t do it, it’s not possible’! Then looking and reaching beyond, where there are no limits and no holding back. Faith is really hoping for something, which then sets in place a goal that we strive towards and faith becomes the bridge which leads us to that goal. (Word for Today) Faith is the thing which causes us to look beyond the normal, the natural, the usual, the expected and the predictable. You see God operates in ways that are not our ways. Isaiah 55:8 says “for my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are you ways my ways says the Lord.” So we need to look past our circumstances don’t think too much and take hold of the fact that God will make a way where there seems to be no way. There are no limits in what God can do! There is no line that He cannot cross. There are no barriers or walls that He cannot break through or pull down. There is no river He cannot cross. There is no fire He cannot walk through. It is by faith, through faith and in faith we stand our ground and walk each day. Not knowing what the future holds but knowing who holds the future.

We can’t see the end result, but we have that assurance and confidence in a God who is all powerful, eternally trustworthy and wonderfully wise. A God who’s promises are altogether true and who’s faithfulness endures forever. He has proven Himself from generation to generation. He will not forsake us because He loves us and we are His children. So, let us not limit God in what He can do. Put aside our perception of thins. Start looking above and beyond, higher and over. And lets not just take a step of faith but “ONE GIANT LEAP’ of faith into the wild blue yonder. You will be surprised, you will be amazed and you will stand in awe because of what this big incredible and wonderful all powerful God has done for you.

WHAT IS STOPPING YOU?
