The Pantry Club
Do you need to make your $ stretch a bit further?
The Pantry Club is here to support members of the community that are finacially struggling. We supply basic food for a minimal membership fee which in turn will cut down their expenses.
The Pantry Club, by nature, empowers people as it offers its members the opportunity to further help themselves and their families/households, rather than to simply provide a ‘handout’ or ‘quick fix’.
By paying a small fee for the service, the Pantry Club becomes part of their budget, assisting their families to maintain nutritional standards rather than a ‘last resort’ or a means of enabling unhealthy or unhelpful behaviours (e.g. drinking or gambling).)
THE PANTRY CLUB is held on Tuesdays fortnightly from 9.15am- 11.30am, Emmanuel House, 2 Chapel Street, Strathalbyn
For more information please call: PAQUITA WISE ON 7511 7212
You can help the Pantry Club support the community by:
- donations of food
- donations of grocery items (toilet paper, tissues, toothpaste, toothbrushes, cleaning products)
- donations of money (Donations over $2.00 to Country Life Compassion are tax deductible.)
- donating service in the form of a voucher
We can arrange fresh food donations to be picked up on Monday and non-perishable items on another day to suit you.
